HUNLAND Trade Kft. started trading cattle in Hungary professionally in 1992. The founding owners already boasted upon the high quality experience of three generations of cattle traders in the Netherlands their new business vision.

The Hungarian enterprise, a real family business, started at a small scale and initially concentrated exclusively on purchasing and selling of cattle. Within a short period it developed to international level on a number of product fields.

Breeding and slaughter animals have been purchased from 12-15 countries and exported to ca. 25-28 countries. The main activity continues to be buying and selling live cattle (calves, cows, pregnant heifers, beef cattle and slaughtering cattle), pigs and lambs as well. Meat business and purchase and sale of product milk have developed considerably.

Currently, the company owns several farms in Hungary, with a total livestock of ca. 15.000 to 17.000 cattle. HUNLAND owns its own modern dairy farm with a facility to accommodate 1400 dairy cows with its offspring. The produced extra quality milk is exported by its own company, Milktrader Kft.

Possessing its own farms mean a guarantee to be able to fulfil the needs of its customers at any time, if needed from the stock of the company.

In connection with the trade of pigs and piglets, we cooperate closely with several Dutch pig breeders who recently started their business in Hungary. We purchase the pigs from these firms and certainly from Hungarian farmers as well.

Since 1996, HUNLAND disposes of its own logistics company. As a result, we can offer our customers a door-to-door service, including the entire customs procedures.

HUNLAND has an expanding number of branches in Europe and throughout the world as well. In order to be able to provide a full service to our customers we possess an extensive network of support points outside Hungary in the Netherlands, Germany, Greece, Romania, Slovakia, Serbia, Bulgaria, Russia, Kazakhstan, Turkey, in the Arabic speaking countries in the Middle East and Africa, as well as in North and South America.
